This article is about a champion dog of the World's Ugliest Dog Contest. For the Dickin Medal recipient dog,, see Sam (army dog).

Sam (November 1990–November 18, 2005) was a blind pure-bred Chinese Crested hairless dog, and three time champion of the annual Sonoma-Marin Fair World's Ugliest Dog Contest in Northern California in 2003–2005. His ugliness gained him international fame and celebrity – his death was a top headline on major news websites.

Susie Lockheed, his owner and a resident of Santa Barbara, took him in as a rescue dog in 1999.

In 2005, Sam starred on Criss Angel's 2005 Mindfreak Halloween Special which aired on the A&E Network. Sam played the role of Angel's cat, dressed up in a Halloween costume.

Many pictures of Sam have been used in screamers due to his frightening appearance.

Due to heart complications Sam was euthanized on November 18, 2005, just shy of his 15th birthday.

1st to sick in my class was... i'm nt sure... i tink was edmund.... den arvinth quarantine, then me, jerard, teck. hanwee sick same time as sam... lol. *staying under same roof... dunno wat they've been up to at nite ..... xD hanwee dengue... go hospital. sam at my hse eat panadol...(free lodging and hospitality.. =.=) he at me and hanwee hse since prom...+ i gt a new jamban ^^
cant use it until 2morrow nite though... nid wait cement dry. workers so noisy oso sam sleeping like mad...
2day whole day watch anime.. den after that go watch movie... UP!....c2pid old man....
